25F. Got laid off in March. I have 10 days left to stay in the US.
I work at one of the WITCH and they charge 22$/hour on me to Johnson and Johnson. That means 9 hours daily and 31 days multiplied by 22 i.e. 6138$ per month. In rupees it is 441936 rs per month approx. Per month i get only 50k rs. Never join WITCH
What do you want? 50% cut? GeeZ!
Few things you have added in the post are incorrect. Companies are billed only for the time a person works and that's why there's a concept of timesheet in WITCH but not in most of product based. It would be 8 hours multiplied by the days worked which would be probably some where around 20-22 excluding any public holidays. 8 * 22 * $22 = $3872 I have seen companies billing around $60/hour for on-site folks. If you take a leave, you wouldn't be billed for that day. If you see it on the whole, having contractor is less in cost when compared to an FTE. An FTE would need to be given insurances and other benefits which are not required when they contract someone. This is the main reason why these sweat shops exist in the first place. Finally, what you said is right. Never join WITCH.
Thanks for the clarification. I can't wait to get out of this shithole
Do you work on weekends? If not, then 31 should be 22/23
That’s why they are called body shoppers..more bodies (aka resources) more $$$
Most of the managers and above are non billable to client at WITCH companies . So they will be paid from the billing that they get from client .that is why you are paid less.leave WITCH asap.
How is this news to you? The whole point of running a contracting firm is to pocket the difference
Is full time employee at WITCH. How is he a contractor?
WITCH is the contractor. Difference is between what is charged to the client and what is paid/spent on the full time employee
