We have heard a lot of times that Netflix is dead, Disney+, Hulu, HBO, etc have equally good content or better and because of that Netflix will continue to lose customers. But are you really gonna stop using it? They do have good shows regardless of what many say (e.g: Squid Games, Bridgerton, Ozark, etc). Once in a few months, they come up with a new show and then it becomes a big hit, so are ppl really unsubscribing or is it just the moochers getting kicked out by original subscribers and will be back later. And FUD spread but short-sellers. TC: L4 140k
Frankly I have had Netflix since forever, but with other subs like Disney and HBO our consumption is going down and they keep hiking the rates. At some point I will cut it and see if anyone at the house misses it.
I have hbo, nflx, prime video, and disney+ bundle. Nflx usage is dwindling in my home... I am not ready to unsub yet.
With so many options I cancel and resubscribe as needed. No reason to pay for a full year.
We have Netflix right now but will probably unsubscribe because of the price hike. We'll subscribe once in a while when new seasons of shows we like are out, like Squid Game, Stranger Things, Ozark and so on. We'll also probably have it for a couple of months when the Great British Baking Show is on
The question for me isn’t really to cancel Netflix forever. But perhaps I would cancel until a new season of my shows come out.
If you have young kids, it's hard to cancel Netflix because they have such volume. Disney has good movies but once you've seen them there isn't much (of course kids tend to want to watch their favorite movie over and over). I would happily cancel Netflix if it weren't for them. We get HBO every few months when there is enough for us to binge watch in a month and then cancel it. I could see doing the same for all streaming services.
If they start charging for account sharing, I'm out.
Netflix has lot of crap. If you compare content and quality of hbo or Disney Netflix is far behind. They did rule industry once but with their Holier than this attitude and inflated pay structure has probably gotten them into this trouble
I still v much plan to keep my subscription. Each streaming service offers something slightly different, content-wise, then the other—and certainly not the same compilation of viewing options. I can’t watch squid games on HBO max and I can’t watch the flight attendant on Netflix, therefore, I keep them both.
Better content on HBO for sure. I used to stream Netflix a lot but lately have started to switch to others. Cost is also factor why Netflix is losing subscribers.
