A few weeks more is fine, but I hope it won't last for EOY
You think it's fine, but Google actually continued with interviews. Having thousands open positions with hundreds of people TM was hard to TM. Now it's going to be hundreds of positions with thousands of people waiting in TM (and growing each day). If this lasts for a few more weeks it's over, no chance of team matching unless if a person is super lucky.
They started canceling interviews. Not everyone will pass the HC. I donāt see how itās any different then the past. Not everyone who TM passes HC
So annoying everyone still has to wait. I just want a definite update

Google is realizing that having a bunch of lazy overpaid engineers isnāt how you grow a business. As an investor Iām happy with this change.
The article did say those discussions were in sales... So I do question a little if there's a change in "vibe" for the technical personnel.
This is old news. They extended it a little bit more, last week. They lifted the freeze today. (Email screenshots in Discord) Some PAs still haven't finalized headcounts yet though.

Lol, war in Ukraine has literally nothing to do with Google, blaming war in Ukraine for anything other than gas prices (and maybe wheat prices) in Europe is pathetic. And inflation doesn't hurt Google either that much, Google has record profits.
