If God himself created angels to serve him and 1 of them fell… Then how can humans expect to create AI robots to serve them without expecting at least 1 going crazy and evil? If humans can avoid that outcome then won’t that mean humans are better than the Christian God, which is a fallacy?
Oh snap
Thou shall not have free will
If you are asking in good faith, and want a theological answer then it’s simple: It was all part of God’s plan to redeem mankind. Things that were planned before creation even occurred: - God promised eternal life (Titus 1:2) - To the faithful (Ephesians 1:4) - By Christ (1 Peter 1:20) Which leads to the following necessary inferences, working backwards, all being part of the plan: - mankind sinning - Satan beguiling mankind - Satan “falling” - Satan rebelling against God - Satan being created If any of these points fail then the plan of salvation was not set in place before the world began / creation which would be a biblical contradiction. Not trying to convince any one of the truth of any of this. Just providing the biblical answer to the OP. Happy to explain further for any who are curious and have followup questions.
So it was God’s plan to have AI kill humanity for redemption.
Well, in the context of your analogy, it would be humanity intentionally creating an AI to cause trouble to other less powerful AIs and then humanity stepping in to fix it.

Not super good reasoning. Yes God made us, creating AI doesn’t make us gods though. It’s just a neat software trick. Even if we can extend our lives indefinitely, the universe will still collapse and we will have to face our creator someday.
