Does the maternity leave time window vary for new joinees ( under an year )? The amount of weeks offered (26) seem very generous, so wondering if new employees get a lesser amount #tech #maternity
It’s true for employees who’ve been in adobe in a full time position for 12 months. If you’ve been in the company for less than 12 months, you get 4 weeks or so (this was a year ago, check with the HR for the latest policy) apart from the disability leave
Thank you!
Still true. You ll get only fmla leave of 6 weeks if you haven’t been at Adobe for 1 year. It’s technically not 26 weeks. It’s 16 weeks of bonding leave on top of the state leave of 6 weeks for normal delivery or 10 weeks for C Section. So kinda misleading. You also have to take the leave within the first 6 months of your baby’s birth. So you’ll need to take it all in one go.
Thank you!!
Hey, did you join adobe? I also want to know the same question as I am 6 weeks pregnant and have offer from Adobe.
Hi, I’m in the same situation, joining soon. Can you tell me about the policy since you’ve been there? Thank you.
Bump. Anyone know when maternity leave kicks at adobe?
1 year of employment
I don't see why not? It is the law. You can be in week 1 of your new work and you ask for maternity leave, the company is required to grant it. Obviously, please confirm with your hr.
Not true for Amazon. Paternity kicks in after one year. Maternity always kicks in though.
In the US, there's no federal paid leave. Unpaid FMLA only needs to be supported after one year. Many companies don't have a waiting period (e.g. Block, Google), but there's no law requiring that.
