Hit 7M NW at 45

I knew it is shallow AF, but still feels good to see the result of hard work ( and lots of luck)

Adobe ben_415 May 21

Breadkdown ?

VMware bcombcom OP May 21

2M for my primary residence. Rest in investments- mainly index funds

Digital Risk rmkk May 21

Great job, Which app do you use for investing on index funds?

Cisco BuggyD🤡 May 21

Congratulations king! Thinking of retiring?

VMware bcombcom OP May 21

Coast FIRE in the next 2 years.

project44 827462(1 May 21

Lmao you are already Coast FIRE

Google coast_god May 21

seems low for yoe

Zscaler Gigajesh May 21

Lol 😆

VMware bcombcom OP May 21

Congratulations and more power to you!

Amazon Level15 May 21

Tell us your story?

Athene balooooo May 21

Yeah, share journey dude, what do we do with your nw no.

VMware bcombcom OP May 21

Nothing dramatic. Worked for tier 2 companies most of my career but in important roles. Chose role and skill over a top tier company. A boglehead, so no flashy investments. We live within our means- spend on things we really care about but know when to pull back. More than anything else I count my blessings as my peak earning power coincided with a bull market

MRM TWG_202023 May 21

Congratulations, OP! Keep up the great work. TC: 105K

BlackRock DLyS50 May 21

What app is it from?

Google WzvW21 May 21

Personal capital

project44 827462(1 May 21

I uninstalled Personal Capital and changed all my passwords after I hit 1M in investments bc I didn't want them having access to my stuff. Now I just track in a spreadsheet

Adobe screwit! May 21

Is it family NW or just yours?

VMware bcombcom OP May 21

Family NW. My wife has been a homemaker for the last decade so the growth in assets is primarily fueled by my income. She has played a key role in keeping expenses in check and shoring up the bottom line :)

Adobe screwit! May 21

She kept your expenses low. The childcare, if you have kids, is crazy.

Airbnb sje68 May 21

What was your NW at 40 and 35? I am wondering how it grew over the years. TC will be useful as well

VMware bcombcom OP May 21

Fairly low at 35. I have not kept track but close to 1m. Around 3 million at 40. I have steadily grown in my career and will make more than a million dollars this year. Typical TC for the last few years has been 600-800k

ByteDance yoyomat May 22

What type of role are you in?

Roku jCDX04 May 21

Congrats! Is the house paid for? If not, you should consider not counting the amount that is still due in the NW. Just to be conservative.

VMware bcombcom OP May 21

I have a small amount left. I’m taking the delta.

LinkedIn Dave Ramse May 21

congrats op, would you mind to share to networth progression? i wonder when adding an million became fast.. and how long does it take from 3.5 mil to 7 mil?

VMware bcombcom OP May 21

1 million 10 years ago. 3 million 5 years ago. Compounding obviously helps. Also living through a bull market and likely peak earning potential helps

LinkedIn Dave Ramse May 21

thanks op, that is a huge achievement from 3 to 7 in 5 years, what is your household earning from 3 to 7 mil? i would assume it would take much longer time if the earning is 500k right?
