Sorry racists, Indian street food doesn't contain meat and is usually safer than what you get in 5 star hotels. Listen from someone who knows food and not racist narratives and reels about Indian street food hygiene. https://youtu.be/_RFTnb4nC-A?si=B7nGTciSf7h0BFsT FYI it's cheaper and more delicious than all fancy lab processed foam splatters on a plate you paid 500$ in a pretentious resturant. Watch kitchen nightmares to see how restaurants in west store their food. All the food poisonings I had in life were in western countries, salmonella in meat, seafood etc. All the ultra processed food I had was in western countries. All the obese people I met are all in western countries. But hey, Indian food is bad. #india
Indian food always fresh (never frozen) ingredients. The only problematic thing is the usage of MSG (food tasters) and food colors in Indian food. Hygiene is always a question but that may not bother everyone.
Japanese have among the longest life expectancy have MSG daily. It was a US racist article which called MSG as bad and it stuck. All the while KFC, McDonald's etc all use MSG after they realized its umami flavor makes the food savory. Today I found a popular US super market chain use orange color for freshness in salmon and its written in packaging.
Usage of msg? Again there is no research stating any adverse effects! In fact it’s healthier than salt so wtf does usage of msg has anything to do with anything?
Thank processed cheese and fast food from the west for this
People don't get fat from a certain type of cuisine, people get fat from overindulgence
Forget it, most people won't understand because they are brainwashed by "standards". Enforcing food safety standards is expensive and would break local economy. There's no point in spending lot of money to pander to tourists who don't know where to eat When I tell people I eat street food daily when I visit, people are shocked at how I don't get sick. I don't get sick because I eat at places which have been serving fresh quality food for 50+ years
Weird that OP ties food hygiene to race 🤔🤔 We've all seen videos of Indian street food. Hygiene ain't there.
Some times your fear would kill you more than street food.
Explain this analogy. It's food made with dirty equipment, not fighting a bear.
You realize you can just block/report racist posts instead of posting cringe like “more delicious than all fancy lab processed foam splatters”? And thinking that kitchen nightmares is how restaurants in the west store their food when that show specifically calls them out for bad hygiene is ironic.
Also taking a purifying bath in the Ganges is recommended. Very healthy
I guess you can't turn off the racist inside you to figure out we are talking about street food here. Still, to bathe in the ganges, I suggest you go to the Himalayas. Its a devine experience, just don't do it in the cities.
You will be purified once you confess sins to the priest.
I read recently that India ranks first in food poisoning although that may not mean street food. It was followed by Kenya, Sri Lanka, Indonesia and Mexico.
They brag that it makes their immune system strong, as if that's supposed to be a flex lol
Capital one try to digest lactose and gluten first. With 1.4b population the numbers would be skewed.
I definitely got massive food poisoning in India, but same in France so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I don't generalise
Avoid 5 star hotel buffet and western food. Listen to what a world famous chef says and not your racist colleague.
Lol what, I am saying I've gotten food poisoning in western countries too 😂 It's not unique to India, and the rest of my fam didn't get sick on either trip so I just got unlucky. Doesn't colour my opinion of the country at all
Pretty much any place that uses night soil for fertilizer will make you sick
Guess western people shell out extra for organic food without much thinking huh? https://www.sciencedirect.com/topics/agricultural-and-biological-sciences/organic-fertilizer#:~:text=An%20organic%20fertilizer%20is%20a,poultry%20droppings%20and%20domestic%20sewage
Hmm sure. Indian street food definitely meets the top food safety standards
It won’t kill you but improve your immunity
Yes, my doctor recommends I take a trip to India to boost my health. Food will almost kill me then make me stronger when i’m back
