Here are two that have been quite prominent on blind. 1. Eng Authority: gets people to sign up for their ๐ฉ courses using employer educational reimbursement in return for a gift. Not very subtle way of laundering company money. Employee can face legal problems if company found out 2. Refer market: purports to โdemocratizeโ the referral process while taking a subscription fees from people seeking referrals. Keeps bombarding potential referrers on blind to sign up on their website. Legal implications are not very clear but their website states without any proof that there are no legal issues. Add any others you know of. TC 350k
Even if RM isn't illegal, it defeats the purpose of referrals. The more widespread it becomes, the less effective it will be.
I'll give one that isn't a scam: Send me your money and in return I will write you a heartfelt thank you.
Referral market website is one of the worst one I have used so far, quite confusing and I haven't heard a lot of good reviews about it.
Thereโs nothing illegal getting a sign on gift, especially something like an iPad so you can watch the videos during your commute on corporate shuttles. I did Eng Authority. My manager could care less than I got a sign on gift. Itโs budget for whatever I want
