Hi, I could really use the expertise of my fellow Indian workers in the US. I have tried to search for my question online but not getting a clear answer. So here's the Q: I plan to retire in India after the age of 60. That means I will start taking 401K distributions when I'm in India. So if I invest pre-tax 401K now, would I be taxed $0 as I'd have no US income in my retirement years? I don't have any investment property in US. I do have some stocks. Or would I have to pay the income tax rate on my 401K distribution per my India income (from a small business or rental income from Indian investment property? Finally, if I make money by selling my stocks while living in India, would that income count towards Indian come or US income ? Those stocks were acquired in the US in a US based brokerage (Fidelity). Please pick the option you recommend for me given my plan to retire in India Blind Tax TC: $170K
