Prohibited companies after working in OneTrust ?

Asking for a friend, recently signed an offer with OneTrust as SDE but they have a section of prohibited companies that the employee can’t move for 2 years after departure, such as ServiceNow, SAP etc. Is that valid for the SDE role? Should my friend rethink joining this company?

What state? Did she agree to this already? Unclear what you mean by "added", does that mean she signed, then they changed the agreement after?

No this section was already present when my friend signed the offer letter. This is in Colorado state

Scam company. Unless she is desperate she should NOT work at OneTrust!

Can you share your role and experience ? At the moment the only other offer my friend has, is from an even smaller start up with similar WLB issues

I would say it's not that bad for sure, main concern would be the TC and equity

Some one who very recently joined might know about this. Otherwise it's not end of road if you come to OneTrust you can still leave asap once you get the feel of the culture. FAANGMULA, I'm assuming is not on that list. So are all the top paying companies, ServiceNow and SAP probably were added recently.
