Are eng affected?
Netherlands has strong labor laws. They literally can't fire people until jumping through several hoops. But engineering will be affected to some extent for sure. How much no one knows. Global layoffs are estimated at 25% but engineering will likely be less. However, a lot of devs are anxious and leaving. So if you know someone from Booking and want to refer them to Facebook, they'd likely be happy about it.
Affected folks won't be announced until September/October.
