The Blind paradox

There I was, just about happy at SAP after ~5 years, when a colleague told me he was going to FB and mentioned a 100% increase. I was kinda dumbfounded, so looked into it and eventually stumbled upon Blind. In the last couple of months, I learned a lot and am now leaving for a big pay bump. Thing is, Blind is both a blessing and a curse... When I start at my new place I'm not sure I want to access the company page to see hundreds of posts of my colleagues complaining. But yet I want the inside scoop... Anyone else feel the same?

No. Information is power.

A bit. The thing is, people who are dissatisfied tend to be more vocal, so expect the picture you see at Blind (or any other site like it) to be biased towards the negative. You can't know how biased, because there's no place that has the unbiased view - internal information is likely positively biased due to HR messaging and self-preservation. You are getting different stories, neither of them wholly true, and you have to decide how to use the information, what to consider and discard. Truth is usually not in either extreme, but somewhere in between.

I use blind for info when im looking to hop jobs, then delete it when I've got my offers. Its skewed way negative by the audience that just likes to complain and gossip

SAP managers donā€™t like Blind due the increased attrition it causes
